joanne-verikios Our Club is hosting an early International Women’s Day dinner on Thursday March 2nd 2017 at the Redlands Sporting Club, Anson Road , Wellington Point.

We have a great guest speaker in Joanne Verikios, whose life challenges demonstrate the power of having courage, conviction and commitment to life passions. After 30 years as a career public servant, Joanne woke up one morning, and decided life was too short … and changed her world . We look forward to you joining us to hear more of her story in what promises to be a great evening of entertainment, as we raise funds to support domestic violence initiatives in the Wynnum Redland area.

District 22 CONFERENCE 2023 -Update

The District 22 Conference 2023 is successfully concluded. From the warm welcome to Mackay by Mayor Williamson and Aunty Pat Corrie to the final business closure on Sunday 10 September, delegates and guests enjoyed the guest speakers, the several presentations by our education award winners, our Zonta International Representative Annika from Sweden and the Zonta spirit generated by many Zontians being and working together for the future of District 22. Congratulations to the newly elected Board Members and Nominating Committee, as well as to the many first-time Conference delegates who participated in the business sessions. Thanks also to the Zontians of Mackay who hosted the event and to the Organising Committee for their months of planning to deliver a happy and productive District Conference. The District Conference 2025 will be held in Mount Isa. In the meantime the 2024 Zonta International Convention in Brisbane will be the next major event to which we look forward.
