Cheese Lovers and Wine Tasting in Support of Young Women in Public Affairs Awards 2021

CLUB MEMBERS AND GUESTS enjoyed a fantastic evening of Cheese and Wine at La Zucca Italian Restaurant in Bald Hills on 21st October.

Funds raised support the Young Women In Public Affairs Awards for 2021. Zonta Club of Northside Inc recognises 3 young women aged 16-19 Years who show committment to their education and community. Big thanks to our hosts Emily and Simon from La Zucca Italian Restaurant. Thank you also to Tom from the Red Cow for providing delicious cheeses and Phil and Gail from Woonooroo Winery in the Somerset Valley for the amazing wine.

District 22 CONFERENCE 2023 -Update

The District 22 Conference 2023 is successfully concluded. From the warm welcome to Mackay by Mayor Williamson and Aunty Pat Corrie to the final business closure on Sunday 10 September, delegates and guests enjoyed the guest speakers, the several presentations by our education award winners, our Zonta International Representative Annika from Sweden and the Zonta spirit generated by many Zontians being and working together for the future of District 22. Congratulations to the newly elected Board Members and Nominating Committee, as well as to the many first-time Conference delegates who participated in the business sessions. Thanks also to the Zontians of Mackay who hosted the event and to the Organising Committee for their months of planning to deliver a happy and productive District Conference. The District Conference 2025 will be held in Mount Isa. In the meantime the 2024 Zonta International Convention in Brisbane will be the next major event to which we look forward.
