Zonta Says NO to Domestic Violence Against Women

Gateway Bridges

Club members are again actively participating in the 2016 Zonta Says NO to Violence Against Women.  Like many Clubs in our District we use our “orange” women (plywood cutouts) to promote our message.  This year we added to our “orange” family some children and two cats to emphasis that children and family pets are also victims of family and domestic violence.  Our “orange” family has been placed in prominent locations and will continue to be out and about until 10 December, the final day of the 16 Days of Activism.  Pictured below is a sample of our current locations with more to come in a future post.

We have a slide being shown on all Brisbane City Cats and Ferries over the 16 days and have continued to issue a daily Information Statement on the many forms/impacts of domestic and family violence.
