Valda’s 30 years of service acknowledged

The Colour Your World afternoon tea was the setting in which Rockhampton member Valda Fitzgerald was congratulated on her 30 years of dedicated service to Zonta.  Valda joined the Rockhampton Club in 1985 and since then has served in many roles. Valda’s most valuable contribution has come from her willingness to serve a number of times as treasurer of the club. She has also mentored other members who have served as treasurer. Valda has also served as the Chair of Standing Committees and she has always willingly contributed her ideas and skills to many fundraisers for the club. She is regularly seen overseeing the many raffles which the club conducts. Members admire her commitment and dedication to Zonta. Area 2 Director Jan Landsberg presented Valda with a 30 year membership certificate from Zonta International. Members and guests applauded Valda to show their appreciation.
