Keynote Speaker – Adjunct Professor Shelley Nowlan is a renowned leader in the health care sector. Currently Shelley has dual roles; she is Deputy National Rural Health Commissioner Nursing and Midwifery, and she is also the Chief Nurse Officer for Queensland Health. In her role as Deputy National Rural Health Commissioner, she advises the National Rural Health Commissioner on factors affecting health care for the population living rural and remotely in Australia. This includes access to health care, workforce shortages and advice relating to the nursing and midwifery professions.

Speaker Lee Banfield – RISE2 Foundation

RISE2 provides safe and dignified accommodation for women and children who have experienced domestic and family violence. The RISE2 homes are located within local communities, which provides a sense of normality and belonging.
