Zonta Says No Campaign 2016

The Rockhampton Club is once again taking part in the 16 days of Activism campaign.

White Ribbon DinnerA very enjoyable & successful White Ribbon Day Dinner was hosted by the QPS on Friday 25th November. The 16 Days of Activism Campaign was launched by Zonta Club of Rockhampton President, Judie Pettitt. Guests heard an inspiring Q and A session with Superintendent Ron Van Saane and a most interesting presentation by Magistrate Colin Strohfeld about the progress in the last year with the trial DV Court at Southport. An amazing $14,500 was raised for local DV services. “Orange Women” are spreading various messages about eliminating violence against women and girls, 16 Days of Activism and Zonta Says NO to Violence Against Women, with varying issues being featured on each “Orange Woman”.

 

 

 

 

Yeppoon ZolliesOur “Orange Women” and  “Orange Men” are stepping out in Yeppoon to highlight the 16 Days of Activism campaign.

Two are seen at the Yeppoon Police Station with Senior Sergeant Robert Barclay, Constable Arielle Olsen & Judie Pettitt.

Target DisplayOur “Orange Women” and “Orange Men” can now be seen in a number of locations in both Yeppoon and Rockhampton. A display at Target at City Centre Plaza has also been set up.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Zollies and ZommiesOur “Orange Men” are recognising the efforts of our local White Ribbon Ambassadors with a different ambassador being featured on each “Orange Man”.
