Zonta Living Treasure Award presented to Bev Hannam
Bev has been involved with her community activities for 48 years on a weekly if not daily basis. Bev is an integral part of the community, working and participating in it, sometimes behind the scenes, at other times, leading from the front. Her active role, often behind the scenes, makes her the person to ‘get the job done’. Her actions have benefited the community as a whole and specific organizations in particular both financially and with tangible goods, projects and services, thereby benefitting everyone in the district.
Bev is also an active member of:
· The Neighbourhood Watch committee,
· The Caves Show committee
· Zilzie Heights ladies group – fundraising to donate to various organizations such as Women’s Shelter, childcare groups, Western Queensland drought appeal.
· The Driver Reviver Program.
The actual organizing person behind many community events, Bev’s volunteering brings the community together and provides many much-needed resources into both The Caves and Milman communities.
Bev was presented with her trophy and certificate by Councillor Rose Swadling.
