Rockhampton Club induction of 2016-2017 board members

Four members of the Rockhampton Club Board were inducted at the June club meeting by PDG Trish Collins. They were from left, Beverley Schimke (Treasurer), Judie Pettitt (President) Trish PDG, Helen Dundas-Taylor (Vice- President) and Jan Landsberg (Director). Those not present will be inducted at the next meeting.

District 22 CONFERENCE 2025

Mt Isa club are delighted to be the hosts of District 22 conference 12-14 September 2025. They are already well advanced in planning and the venue will be confirmed soon. There will be an amazing social program incorporating the best of Mt Isa attractions – the Isa Amphitheatre with mine tours, the historic Underground hospital and Tent House and a visit to the Uranium mine are all on the program. We hope the memorial service will be especially poignant at the Miner’s church which commemorates the towns history.

A range of accommodation options are available with special rates being negotiated including caravan parks and cabins and hotels. Local members will be offering billets for those interested in a home away from home.

So start planning for a few days in Mt Isa now- perhaps do a road trip to see the outback and stay awhile. Travel with friends and make fabulous memories on the way. If flying keep an eye out for flight deals.
