Members attend Maryborough Club’s 20th Anniversary
Members of the Rockhampton Club attended the 20th Anniversary celebrations of the Maryborough Club on the weekend of the 7th February. The Saturday evening dinner was attended by District Governor Judith Trevan-Hawke who addressed the gathering. Area Director Jan Landsberg and Past Area Director Berenice Payne also attended. Jan and Berenice represented members of the Rockhampton Club. The Bundaberg Club was represented by Past Area Director Pat Faircloth and Past Area Director Denise Wilschut from the Maryborough Club also attended.
Approximately seventy people enjoyed an evening of ‘down memory lane’ presented by members of the Maryborough Club, a static display of the club’s history and a slide show of ‘happenings’ over the years. Deputy Prime Minister and Federal Member for Wide Bay Warren Truss and the Mayor of Fraser Coast Gerard O’Connell also attended. The Deputy Prime Minister and the Mayor both addressed the gathering.
