Great Fellowship Activity – Mosaic Art

Nine of us attended a mosaic tile workshop and came away with either a candle holder or a lamp. The artistic talents were tested but we all had a great time and were happy with our endeavours/results. Also enjoyed the Turkish Tea and biscuit served during the workshop.

Our Fellowship Chairman, Jacinta, is always looking to ways for us to meet socially with our next planned social a visit to the Van Gogh Enlivened exhibition.

District 22 CONFERENCE 2025

Mt Isa club are delighted to be the hosts of District 22 conference 12-14 September 2025. They are already well advanced in planning and the venue will be confirmed soon. There will be an amazing social program incorporating the best of Mt Isa attractions – the Isa Amphitheatre with mine tours, the historic Underground hospital and Tent House and a visit to the Uranium mine are all on the program. We hope the memorial service will be especially poignant at the Miner’s church which commemorates the towns history.

A range of accommodation options are available with special rates being negotiated including caravan parks and cabins and hotels. Local members will be offering billets for those interested in a home away from home.

So start planning for a few days in Mt Isa now- perhaps do a road trip to see the outback and stay awhile. Travel with friends and make fabulous memories on the way. If flying keep an eye out for flight deals.
