Colour Your World Afternoon Tea
A very colourful afternoon tea was hosted by the Rockhampton members on Sunday afternoon at the Frenchville Sports Club and was attended by 135 supporters of the Zonta Club. Trish Collins was emcee and kept the tight program moving from item to item.
The afternoon commenced with the video presentation by Zonta International President Maria Jose Landeira Oestergaard, which was delivered by her at the beginning of the current biennium. It was a powerful presentation of the work of Zonta International mainly through the description of Zonta’s international projects and awards. The presentation was followed by acclamation from the assembled women.
A presentation by colour consultant Larraine Jenkins followed, with Larraine’s comments based on wearing the right colours to empower and give confidence in a business or social situation. She also covered style of garments to suit the figure shape and wardrobe planning where 12 items can be combined in 40 ways to make planning your wardrobe much easier.
Guests also enjoyed a parade of the latest fashions from Noni B which was well received as was the parade of hats and shoes and the display of handbags by Suna Shoes.
The lucky door prize was won by Glenda Ireland and the Hat of the Day prize by Michelle Broome. A multi drawer raffle was very popular. A colour quiz kept all engaged.
Afternoon tea goodies and tea and coffee were also enjoyed by the guests and completed the very entertaining afternoon tea.
Many thanks to all Zontians who contributed to the successful afternoon.
