Our membership to date comprises a total of 26 ladies.

Over this last year, the club welcomed 5 new members

Already, our new members have wholeheartedly engaged in fundraising events. As well, one of our new members has used her skills to increase our advocacy through Facebook. Several guests, who have attended recent dinner meetings, are still considering their commitment to join Zonta. Regrettably, due to personal circumstances, there have been two resignations. In addition, two members will be taking a leave-of-absence.

Our membership is to be commended for continuing to retain their enthusiasm for supporting our club’s projects.

The membership committee, in 2015-2016, was committed to working on strategies to strengthen commitment within our club. It was our aim to survey the club’s strengths and weaknesses. Draft formats were devised but needed refining. Unfortunately, due to committee members’ unavoidable absences, operations & business commitments, amendments to that document were not carried out. It is hoped that the incoming committee will take up the challenge to complete this task.

I would like to thank all HonZons for their efforts and continued support for our fundraising activities during this last year.

As Maroochy Zontians, we present as an awesome team as we work together to advocate through our actions to empower every woman to have rights.
