Zonta Rockhampton Banners for 16 Days of Activism

To create awareness, Zonta says No to Violence Against Women banners have been placed beside high traffic areas. One has been placed on the major highway leading north from Rockhampton city and the second banner near a high traffic intersection leading south on to one of the Fitzroy River bridges. The banners will remain in those positions for the length of the 16 Days of Activism Campaign from 25^th November to 10^th December. Thank you to Trish and Nyree for volunteering to place banners.

District 22 CONFERENCE 2023 -Update

The District 22 Conference 2023 is successfully concluded. From the warm welcome to Mackay by Mayor Williamson and Aunty Pat Corrie to the final business closure on Sunday 10 September, delegates and guests enjoyed the guest speakers, the several presentations by our education award winners, our Zonta International Representative Annika from Sweden and the Zonta spirit generated by many Zontians being and working together for the future of District 22. Congratulations to the newly elected Board Members and Nominating Committee, as well as to the many first-time Conference delegates who participated in the business sessions. Thanks also to the Zontians of Mackay who hosted the event and to the Organising Committee for their months of planning to deliver a happy and productive District Conference. The District Conference 2025 will be held in Mount Isa. In the meantime the 2024 Zonta International Convention in Brisbane will be the next major event to which we look forward.
