The Zonta Club of Stanthorpe members have been preparing to host the  District 22, Area 4 meeting on 25th & 26th March.  We look forward to showcase the Granite Belt’s talents and produce to members from the Area 4 Clubs of Dalby. Ipswich,Roma, Toowoomba Inc, Toowoomba Garden City, Warwick and the newly formed Greater Springfield Club.

Additionally, the Annual Yellow Dinner is currently being organised for Friday 3rd March at the Queensland College of Wine and Tourism at 6.30pm to celebrate International Women’s Day, and we are excited to have Josephine Bell as our inspirational guest speaker. Jo is a Registered Nurse/ Midwife who was a member of the Rotary Group Study Exchange “Team Pink” to Pennsylvania USA in 2016. Jo also recently travelled to Fiji to volunteer by taking medical equipment that was donated to Fijian hospitals and villages to assist those that are less privileged and also to support women’s health. Jo has been instrumental in establishing young mothers groups in Stanthorpe, to educate them in preparation for motherhood.

Proceeds from this event will go to ZI Projects including:; Elimination of Obstetric Fistula; Creating Sustainable Foundations for Addressing Human Trafficking and Unsafe Migration of Women and Girls in Nepal and other Zonta Projects..

The Zonta Club of Stanthorpe regretfully farewell one of our members Belinda Gray and her husband Peter this week due to relocating north. We would like to thank them both for their support of Zonta and our community and wish them well in their new community of Hervey Bay.
