Working Bee with CHAC Students

Members had a very productive working bee with students from the Cannon Hill Anglican College. With the help of some teachers the students completed 100 Zonta Breast Cushions ready for delivery to the Mater Hospital. It was a pleasure working with the students who enthusiastically embraced the project. We are now looking forward to again working with them in August when they will assemble 400 Birthing Kits for distribution to women in developing countries.

District 22 CONFERENCE 2023 -Update

The District 22 Conference 2023 is successfully concluded. From the warm welcome to Mackay by Mayor Williamson and Aunty Pat Corrie to the final business closure on Sunday 10 September, delegates and guests enjoyed the guest speakers, the several presentations by our education award winners, our Zonta International Representative Annika from Sweden and the Zonta spirit generated by many Zontians being and working together for the future of District 22. Congratulations to the newly elected Board Members and Nominating Committee, as well as to the many first-time Conference delegates who participated in the business sessions. Thanks also to the Zontians of Mackay who hosted the event and to the Organising Committee for their months of planning to deliver a happy and productive District Conference. The District Conference 2025 will be held in Mount Isa. In the meantime the 2024 Zonta International Convention in Brisbane will be the next major event to which we look forward.
