Zonta Foundation for Women

Zonta International Foundation for Women, the official charitable foundation of Zonta International, advances and sustains Zonta’s global service and advocacy programs.  The International Service Projects are determined at the Biennial Zonta International Convention and voted on by delegates to Convention.

Clubs throughout District 22 provide financial support for the ZFW Service programs.  Our contribution as a District was formally recognised during the 2014 Zonta International Convention in Orlando, Florida.’

In addition to the International Service Program the Zonta Foundation for Women Zonta is dedicated to achieving gender equality in education and supports scholarships, fellowships and awards for women and girls pursuing education and careers in these traditionally male-dominated fields.   These are

• the Amelia Earhart Fellowship with up to to 30 fellowships awarded annually to women pursuing Ph.D./doctoral degrees in aerospace engineering and space sciences;
• the Women in Business Scholarship which assists women pursuing undergraduate and master’s degrees in business management;
• the Women in STEM scholarship encourages women to pursue education in STEM; and
• the Young Women in Public Affairs Award which recognises young women for demonstrating leadership skills and commitment to public service.
