Special Guest at Monthly Meeting

Lovely to have Nghi, one of our Beverley Farley Zonta Scholarship winners from the Balmoral State High School, attend our monthly meeting tonight. Nghi is in her 3rd year of study at QUT and undertaking Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Data Science degrees. Members enjoyed hearing about her studies and were impressed by her confidence in responding to our many questions and her plans for the future. Our best wishes to Nghi as she continues with her studies and career.

District 22 CONFERENCE 2025

I am excited to announce some of our main speakers:

Darryl Gardiner from “Rolling with the Punches” – You can hear his story on Compass episode” Tough, not Toxic “ September 2024 and will find him on Facebook.

Aaron Schultz from “Outback Mind Foundation”- check his great website, podcasts and Facebook page.

They will do a short keynote each and then engage with a panel of our male members to discuss Male socialization, it’s toxic effect on men and their mental health, and the intersectionality with violence. Most importantly how can we encourage more good men to stand with us to change this dynamic. They will also do workshops – more information later.

There will be another workshop on Active Advocacy.

Our district 2024 YWPA and JMK winners will be speaking.
