Safe Room at Morningside Police Station

The Club allocated funding to furnish a safe room for victims of domestic violence to speak with police at Morningside Police Station and provide their statement.  Only a small room was available however by relocating screen and other electronic equipment with wall attachments and installing a much smaller but adequate desk we were able to gain space to include a play area for children.  The Officer in Charge, Dave Buttrum, showed us the room and provided information on just how often it is used and how it is appreciated by his officers and the women and children who use it.  The Club was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation.
