Every woman has the right to live free from men’s violence, and it is everyone’s responsibility to make it happen. The White Ribbon Campaign is working to prevent the most common and pervasive form of male violence – that towards women. By preventing men’s violence against women, all of society benefits.
Join us and take a public stand against domestic violence against women. Co-hosted by the Zonta Club of Mount Isa and the Mount Isa White Ribbon Committee; all are welcome.
We are also encouraging donations of old mobile phones for the DV Safe Phone Program, and a collection box will be available at the breakfast.
GUEST SPEAKERS – we have two guest speakers to keep you engaged!
Susita Vout, Team Leader at 54 Reasons. Suzie will share an update on the new Women’s Wellness Space being developed in the old Bunnings (Mount Isa).
Fr Mick Lowcock, who really needs no introduction, will share his views on why family and domestic violence is a man’s business; and how we can better engage men and boys to see that Domestic and Family Violence is their problem to fix, not women’s problem to tolerate.
Save the date for the inaugural Zonta Caboolture’s Women and Girl’s Wellbeing Expo … See, Do, Be Better. Featuring workshops run by local service providers and experts in the fields of women’s health, financial wellbeing, relationships, safety and more.
