ADVOCACY – CO CHAIR – ANGE HILL – hill.woods@bigpond.com Ange Hill joined the Zonta Club of Wynnum Redland Inc in 2013 following her daughter, Olivia, being the successful candidate in the Young Women in Public Affairs Award. Since joining Ange has been a member of the Board as Director, Social Media administrator, Chair of Advocacy and President 2017-2018. She holds the role of President currently. Ange is employed as Clinical Nurse Consultant in Community Mental Health so has an increased awareness of many social issues that affect our communities. Ange is committed to social justice, human rights, improved diversity, cultural safety and women’s issues. | |

AMELIA EARHART FELLOWSHIPS – TRISH O’CONNOR – trish.oco@bigpond.com Trish joined the Zonta Club of Brisbane South Inc in 1985, with a desire to contribute to the community by involvement in a service organization and was club president from 1988 to 1990.Believing education is the key for women and girls to be able to control their destiny, she was drawn to supporting the Amelia Earhart Fellowships and their recipients. The Fellowships show excellence to the world and encourage and inspire young women to reach beyond themselves. Trish’s career has been in medicine, graduating from the University of Queensland in 1977. Since 1981 she has worked in general practice, which also allows her to serve the community. | |
BYLAWS AND RESOLUTIONS – ANS VAN ERP – zontad22bylaws@gmail.com Ans Van Erp is the Director Strategic Business Development of Queensland Country Practice, a Queensland Health unit that specialises in Rural Medical Workforce. Very committed to women’s issues, Ans has been a Zontian for more than three decades and thoroughly enjoys going to international conventions, district conferences and area meetings as there is always so much to learn about this wonderful organisation. Ans has served in various roles at Club, District and International level including most recently as Charter President of the Zonta e-Club of Queensland and member of ZI Membership Core Committee (ZIMCC). This committee of 3, developed several tools to guide clubs on how to conduct business electronically as well as offering members practical tips on using a virtual meeting platform during COVID 19. Ans will serve a second term as a member of the ZIMCC in the role as Chief Club Creator, a title presented by incoming ZIP Ute. Ans is married to Gerard, mother of two and grandmother of 5 beautiful grandchildren. | |
CLUB CREATOR – GWEN JULL AO – g.jull@uq.edu.au Gwen has been a member of the Zonta Club of Brisbane for seven years, serving on the Club’s Board first as a Director, then as first vice president and from 2020-2022, as president. She chaired the club’s service committee for 4 years. For the 2020-2022 biennium, she was appointed as Chair of the D22 Service Committee. Gwen has had an academic and clinical career in her profession of physiotherapy and is currently holds the position of Emeritus Professor in Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland. Gwen was Area 1 Director in the 2022-2024 Biennium and her career has given her a wide range of problem solving, management and organisational skills which she brings to this position. | |
DISTRICT ARCHIVIST & HISTORIAN – ROS KINDER – roskind@bigpond.net.auRos has assumed the role of Archivist and District Historian this Biennium. She has a long Zonta History and is establishing the foundations for our District Archives as well as working with her counterparts in District 23 and 24 to produce a combined District publication for release at our InterDistrict Conference in 2019. MEMBERSHIP – ROBYN LIDDELL – zontad22lieutenantgovernor@gmail.com Robyn joined the Zonta Club of Gladstone in March 2015 and has served as President, President-Elect, Chair of Advocacy and on the Nominating Committee. At the District level Robyn served on the 2021 District 22 Conference Committee and on the SOM Committee for the Zonta Club of Biloela. She was Area 2 Director in the 2022-2024 Biennium. Robyn brings organisational, leadership, communication and mentorship skills from her two professions, teaching and counselling. Her 20-year teaching career included specialisation in Early Childhood, including serving as a Pre-School Advisory Teacher. Her counselling work was mainly in the area of sexual assault, working with both adults and children. Robyn’s interests include spending time with family and friends, and gaming. Robyn is keen to help make a difference for women in the world and values Zonta’s work at the local, district and international level. | |
NOMINATING COMMITTEE – LYN AGNEW – lagnew00@bigpond.comLyn has been a member of no fewer than five different Zonta clubs as a consequence of wide-ranging career moves in the Senior Executive Service of the Australian Public Service. Since joining Zonta as a member of the Zonta Club of Southern Gold Coast Tweed in 1993, she has served the Newcastle, Canberra Breakfast, Tamborine Mountain and Brisbane Clubs in a range of positions, and was appointed District 22 Secretary for the 2014-2016 biennium and elected as Area 1 Director for 2016-2018. For the 2018-2020 biennium she was the Zonta International Foundation Ambassador AND 2020-2022 Lieutenant Governor and Membership Committee Chairman. The combination of this background and her original profession of Social Work has given her skills in working effectively with others and valuable experience in due process, policy, and administration. Beyond Zonta, Lyn cares for her aged parent, enjoys Pilates and mah-jong. | |
UNITED NATIONS COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN – SANDY PETERS – zontad22unitednations@gmail.comSandy Peters is a member of the Zonta Club of Maryborough Inc. She was President from 2002-2003 and has served on many special committees and as Chairman of Club Committees. She was Area 2 Director for the 2018-2020 biennium. She was the United Nations Committee Chairman for the 200-2022 Biennium and continues in this role for the current Biennium. Sandy has sound communication skills gained through life and work experience. She is qualified and experienced in management, team building and training including coaching and mentoring. She volunteers with the Maryborough Hospital Auxillary and in community activities ie Cancer support. Her interests are her family and travel. | |
WEBMASTER – ROS KINDER – roskind@bigpond.net.au Ros graduated from The University of Queensland with a BA and from QUT with a Grad. Dip. in Industrial Relations, and has managed her own HR and IR consultancy since 1996. She joined the Zonta Club of Brisbane East in 1991, and has since served in many club and district positions, including District 24 Governor. In her two plus decades as a Zontian, she has attended seven International Conventions, and all but one District Conference as well as most Area Meetings. She served as the Bylaws and Resolutions Committee Chairman for a number of bienniums and has made a major contribution to the District as Webmaster, monitoring and maintaining the website since it was first established in 2000. | |
WOMEN IN STEM – PETRIEA SKITEK – petriea.skitek@gmail.com Petriea gained her Arts degree at Griffith University focusing on economics and women in politics, then studied Education at the University of New England. During her 20 plus career based in Tokyo she has worked across education, food and agriculture and marketing industries. 15 of those years, she has run her own businesses supplying services to clientsranging from peak government bodies, leading international hotels, supermarket chains, marketing industries and independent schools both in Australia and Asian regions. Petriea has a depth of experience on boards with the Australia-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce Japan (ANZCCJ), International Working Women’s Association (IWWA) and a specialist international policy and planning consultant to the board of the World Association of Cooks Societies (63 member nations) and Asia Continental Director (15 countries) for 8 years. She is currently a non-executive board director for Women in Technology, representing 11,500 members and affiliates and is the cochair for the WIT Membership and Advocacy Board Committee. Additionally, Petriea sits on the Australian Computer Society’s ICT Gateway to Industry Schools Program committee as an advisor. In 2017 she co-founded KP International Group a female-owned and operated social enterprise of which she is currently the Managing Director. Since 2019 she has managed the Girls Day Out in STEM (GDOS) events which have grown to nearly 15,531 online enrolments from 640 Australian schools since the inaugural event. She is a leader and passionate advocate for girls and women in STEM, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Petriea is currently the President for the Zonta Club of Brisbane South. She is a proud mum of a teenage daughter. And is a keen swimmer, enjoys cooking and river walks | |

ZONTA SAYS NO COORDINATOR – JO DIESSEL – jodiessel@outlook.com Since joining the Zonta Club of Brisbane East Inc in 2022 Jo has been an active member of the Club and undertaken the roles of President, Vice President, Secretary and Committee Chair. Whilst thoroughly enjoying her involvement in the Club she has also relished working with Zontians across Brisbane particularly on two projects around our campaigns to end violence against women and girls and Say NO to domestic and family violence. Jo has been an Area 3 Director (2020-2022) and chaired the District 22 Amelia Earhart and Women in Technology Committee. Jo brings a range of experience from her senior executive roles within Government which have provided her with a strong understanding of policy development, legislation, strategic planning and management. Jo currently enjoys retirement with her family and friends and undertakes part-time work in schools as a Consultant in Education. | |
ZONTA FOUNDATION FOR WOMEN AMBASSADOR – JENNY ZIESEMER – zontad22zifambassador@gmail.comJenni is a current member of the Toowoomba Garden City Club Inc after transferring from the Zonta Club of Dalby Inc. She was an Area 4 Director in the 2020-2022 Biennium. She has financial knowledge and experience and an understanding of Corporate Governance. She has held many Club positions and in her spare time enjoys playing Bridge, cooking, gardening and travel. | |
ZONTA FOUNDATION FOR WOMEN ENDOWMENT REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVE – TRISH COLLINS- – trish_collins@bigpond.comTrish joined the Mt Isa Club in its inaugural year in 1993 and transferred to the Rockhampton club in 1999. She has held all club level positions with the exception of Treasurer. During the 2004-2006 biennium she was Area 4 Director for District 24 (now District 22). During the 2008-2010 biennium Trish became Lieutenant Governor for District 22 and between 2010-2012 was District 22 Governor. Trish has served the District as Bylaws & Resolutions Chair and Endowment Fund Regional Representative. Trish’s professional world was centered on education, having worked in State Education positions over 40 years prior to retirement in 2020. Following many years in the school setting, Trish moved into both district and regional leadership and management roles. Trish’s skill set includes governance, risk management and communication. |
