IWD Breakfast
The Zonta Club of Noosa will be hosting the International Women’s Day Breakfast at Noosa Springs Golf and Spa Resort Resort, Links Dr, Noosa Heads on Saturday, 8 March. Our guest speaker this year will be Nette Griggs, who will be speaking about the challenges facing Indigenous women.
Nette has a background in service delivery, providing leadership of a variety of services including youth services, child care, services for Aboriginal people, aged and disabled care, services for culturally and linguistically diverse people, recovery programs for people with a mental illness and recreation programs.
Nette is currently serving on the Board of Our Village Foundation, a not for profit foundation created by Village Motors in an effort to streamline their community support endeavours. The Foundation provides financial and in-kind assistance to community groups, organisations and projects that will benefit the Moreton Bay region.
Nette’s roles have included responsibility for community safety and crime prevention programs, homelessness brokerage and outreach programs, capacity building programs, and, more recently, project management support to the Ngarrama Antenatal, Birthing and Postnatal Service of Queensland Health, to build maternal, newborn and child development services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander mothers and their babies.
Tickets for the event will be $30 per head and can be obtained from:
