IT’S A MAN’S ISSUE
During the 16 Days of Activism, Zonta Cairns has invited Townsville JCU medical student Curtis Rayment to come to Cairns and present his inspiring program “ It’s a Mans Issue” to organisations in Cairns.
His program successfully delivers “ trauma informed, evidence based and culturally sensitive workshops that focus on consent, sexual assault, toxic masculinity, healthy relationships and active bystander training” . The workshops are targeted at boys 12 – 18 years.
At this date in 2023 the workshops have been delivered to around 5,000 students and have “gained support from Townsville City Council, JCU, Project Speakup and ZONTA” . Curtis has had a huge positive positive response from students.
The Zonta Club of Cairns invites you or a representative of your organisation to come to a presentation by Curtis Rayment which details his program, and to learn about the development, the outcomes and plans for the future of the program which has an aim for young people to become part of a solution to end violence against women and girls.
