High Tea to Celebrate UN Day

To celebrate UN Day and recognise Zonta International’s consultative status and close links with the United Nations the Zonta Club of Brisbane East Inc held another successful High Tea. Guests enjoyed wonderful food prepared by Club members while enjoying beautiful background music from a harpist. Our thanks go to all who supported us at this event and to Yeronga State High School who provided the venue and two wonderful students who managed the AV for the afternoon. Many thanks to all.

District 22 CONFERENCE 2023 -Update

The District 22 Conference 2023 is successfully concluded. From the warm welcome to Mackay by Mayor Williamson and Aunty Pat Corrie to the final business closure on Sunday 10 September, delegates and guests enjoyed the guest speakers, the several presentations by our education award winners, our Zonta International Representative Annika from Sweden and the Zonta spirit generated by many Zontians being and working together for the future of District 22. Congratulations to the newly elected Board Members and Nominating Committee, as well as to the many first-time Conference delegates who participated in the business sessions. Thanks also to the Zontians of Mackay who hosted the event and to the Organising Committee for their months of planning to deliver a happy and productive District Conference. The District Conference 2025 will be held in Mount Isa. In the meantime the 2024 Zonta International Convention in Brisbane will be the next major event to which we look forward.
