The serious stuff is listed under District Board biographies. But on a lighter note the International Convention in Turin (2012)was fantastic, motivating, inspiring and challenging. In a perfect world all members would be able to attend area meetings, District Conference (27-29th Sept 2013) and the International Convention (28th June-2nd july 2014), lets set a goal that in this biennium 2012-2014 every club in District 22 has a representative in attendance!

District 22 CONFERENCE 2025

Mt Isa club are delighted to be the hosts of District 22 conference 12-14 September 2025. They are already well advanced in planning and the venue will be confirmed soon. There will be an amazing social program incorporating the best of Mt Isa attractions – the Isa Amphitheatre with mine tours, the historic Underground hospital and Tent House and a visit to the Uranium mine are all on the program. We hope the memorial service will be especially poignant at the Miner’s church which commemorates the towns history.

A range of accommodation options are available with special rates being negotiated including caravan parks and cabins and hotels. Local members will be offering billets for those interested in a home away from home.

So start planning for a few days in Mt Isa now- perhaps do a road trip to see the outback and stay awhile. Travel with friends and make fabulous memories on the way. If flying keep an eye out for flight deals.
