Final Meeting of the year for Rockhampton Zontians

Members who attended the December meeting of the Rockhampton Club at the Rocky Sports Club Board Room were able to look back on a successful year of fundraising, service activities and advocacy. The club now has 29 members who are looking forward to celebrating at the Christmas lunch on the Saturday 7th December at the Riverston Tea Rooms situated on Quay Street beside the Fitzroy River. Plans have already been put in place for a successful 2025.

District 22 CONFERENCE 2025

Mt Isa club are delighted to be the hosts of District 22 conference 12-14 September 2025. They are already well advanced in planning and the venue will be confirmed soon. There will be an amazing social program incorporating the best of Mt Isa attractions – the Isa Amphitheatre with mine tours, the historic Underground hospital and Tent House and a visit to the Uranium mine are all on the program. We hope the memorial service will be especially poignant at the Miner’s church which commemorates the towns history.

A range of accommodation options are available with special rates being negotiated including caravan parks and cabins and hotels. Local members will be offering billets for those interested in a home away from home.

So start planning for a few days in Mt Isa now- perhaps do a road trip to see the outback and stay awhile. Travel with friends and make fabulous memories on the way. If flying keep an eye out for flight deals.
