Who Are We?
The Zonta Club of Beaudesert Area Inc. was chartered in January 1988.
We are part of Zonta International, a world-wide organisation whose aim is to build a better world for women and girls.
We are a group of likeminded women who strive to enable women and girls from all walks of life to have the opportunity to achieve a healthy and secure future.
Presently, we have 19 members. Our club offers each member, through Zonta, the opportunity to:
- Make a difference;
- Develop her leadership potential;
- Network with other business and professional women; and
- Be part of an international organisation and share friendship with other women who have common goals.

What Do We Do?
We raise funds and strive, through service and advocacy, to support local and international projects.
As our club is part of Zonta International, we support projects both locally and internationally. One third of all funds raised by our club go towards international projects. The remaining funds raised are distributed in our local community for the welfare of women and girls.
Our Local Projects
Some of our local projects include:
- Breast cancer care cushions
- Raising awareness of domestic violence and working with associated organisations towards prevention
- QPS Softrooms
- Support at local schools
- Support for disadvantaged women and girls
- Supporting “Share the Dignity” with feminine hygiene initiatives
Our International Projects
- Birthing kits for developing countries
- Adolescent Girls Health & Protection in Peru
- Working against DV in Peru
- Ending child marriage
- Supporting UNICEF’s “Let Us Learn” education program in Madagascar
Where Do We Meet?
Our club meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at “The Club” 23-25 William Street, Beaudesert Queensland 4285.
Our Social meetings are held on the last Thursday morning of each month at a cafe within the local area.
How You Can Help
Your commitment will be your time and talent. The amount of time each woman devotes varies from month to month, however our members are encouraged and expected to contribute to our fundraising efforts in some way.
