Christmas and the End of the Year

Our last meeting was in November and in lieu of our December meeting we celebrated with HonZons and friends an afternoon of barefoot bowling followed by dinner at the Carina Bowls Club. It was great to relax and enjoy each others company after what has been a busy but successful year for our Club. It is now time to relax, enjoy the festive season with family and friends and recharge our batteries for 2025.

District 22 CONFERENCE 2025

Mt Isa club are delighted to be the hosts of District 22 conference 12-14 September 2025. They are already well advanced in planning and the venue will be confirmed soon. There will be an amazing social program incorporating the best of Mt Isa attractions – the Isa Amphitheatre with mine tours, the historic Underground hospital and Tent House and a visit to the Uranium mine are all on the program. We hope the memorial service will be especially poignant at the Miner’s church which commemorates the towns history.

A range of accommodation options are available with special rates being negotiated including caravan parks and cabins and hotels. Local members will be offering billets for those interested in a home away from home.

So start planning for a few days in Mt Isa now- perhaps do a road trip to see the outback and stay awhile. Travel with friends and make fabulous memories on the way. If flying keep an eye out for flight deals.
