Breast Cushion Working Bee at CHAC

Students from the Cannon Hill Anglican College (CHAC) again joined with us to finish off more than 100 Zonta Breast Cushions and Drainage bags for delivery to the Mater Private Hospitals in Brisbane and the Redlands. The students added a personal note with each cushion wishing the recipient all the best for her recovery. As always it was wonderful to see the enthusiasm of the CHAC students to support this service project. Many thanks to the students, CHAC staff and our Club members who attended to provide guidance.

District 22 CONFERENCE 2025

I am excited to announce some of our main speakers:

Darryl Gardiner from “Rolling with the Punches” – You can hear his story on Compass episode” Tough, not Toxic “ September 2024 and will find him on Facebook.

Aaron Schultz from “Outback Mind Foundation”- check his great website, podcasts and Facebook page.

They will do a short keynote each and then engage with a panel of our male members to discuss Male socialization, it’s toxic effect on men and their mental health, and the intersectionality with violence. Most importantly how can we encourage more good men to stand with us to change this dynamic. They will also do workshops – more information later.

There will be another workshop on Active Advocacy.

Our district 2024 YWPA and JMK winners will be speaking.

The Mt Isa club have organised an amazing social program with a true local experience promised. We hope to see you there.
