Breast Care Cushions PROJECT 2020

Zonta Club of Northside Inc delivers breast care cushions to St Vincent’s Hospital Chermside, The Wesley Hospital Auchenflower and now the Prince Charles Hospital Chermside. Thank you to the Breast Care nursing staff Carmel, Jan and Jo and their teams who support and care for women who have had mastectomy surgery.

This project is made possible with the help of many volunteers including our Friends of Zonta. The Club holds cutting workshops (cutting of fabric) and appreciates the many hands who machine sew and hand sew the cushions. District 22 CONFERENCE 2023 -Update

The District 22 Conference 2023 is successfully concluded. From the warm welcome to Mackay by Mayor Williamson and Aunty Pat Corrie to the final business closure on Sunday 10 September, delegates and guests enjoyed the guest speakers, the several presentations by our education award winners, our Zonta International Representative Annika from Sweden and the Zonta spirit generated by many Zontians being and working together for the future of District 22. Congratulations to the newly elected Board Members and Nominating Committee, as well as to the many first-time Conference delegates who participated in the business sessions. Thanks also to the Zontians of Mackay who hosted the event and to the Organising Committee for their months of planning to deliver a happy and productive District Conference. The District Conference 2025 will be held in Mount Isa. In the meantime the 2024 Zonta International Convention in Brisbane will be the next major event to which we look forward.
