AGM and a New Member

The Club welcomed Lieutenant Governor Judith Trevan-Hawke to its May Dinner Meeting and AGM. Judith was kept busy installing the incoming Board for 2013-2014 as well as inducting and welcoming a new member to the Club – Kerstin. The Annual Reports were tabled and received and our Strategic Plan for the coming year endorsed. Thanks to our outgoing Board under the Presidency of Jill and we look forward to the coming year and continuing with our endeavours to fill the Zonta Mission.

District 22 CONFERENCE 2023 -Update

The District 22 Conference 2023 is successfully concluded. From the warm welcome to Mackay by Mayor Williamson and Aunty Pat Corrie to the final business closure on Sunday 10 September, delegates and guests enjoyed the guest speakers, the several presentations by our education award winners, our Zonta International Representative Annika from Sweden and the Zonta spirit generated by many Zontians being and working together for the future of District 22. Congratulations to the newly elected Board Members and Nominating Committee, as well as to the many first-time Conference delegates who participated in the business sessions. Thanks also to the Zontians of Mackay who hosted the event and to the Organising Committee for their months of planning to deliver a happy and productive District Conference. The District Conference 2025 will be held in Mount Isa. In the meantime the 2024 Zonta International Convention in Brisbane will be the next major event to which we look forward.
