Zonta Rockhampton Long Lunch

Zonta Long Lunch – August 2024

With Spring just around the corner, the weather at Beaches Restaurant, Rosslyn Bay, made for excellent conditions to hold the Zonta 2024 Long Lunch. Over 100 ladies gathered at the tables to enjoy the Italian themed function. Funds raised will support Zonta’s projects which in turn support Zonta International’s mission of Building a Better World for Women and Girls.

Our thanks to Judy and Ross O’Reilly for a very delicious and enjoyable lunch of meats and salads which were accompanied by glasses of chilled wine.

Interesting speakers for the afternoon were Kate Brown, Zonta’s 2024 Living Treasure Award recipient from Just Run with It, Coaching and Fitness, and Alison Ray, Director of Our Rainbow House, which supports children in Zambia.

Our thanks to Secret Girl Stuff, Something Different and Lake House Pilates, Mulambin for providing vouchers for lucky door prizes and Kerris Stark for donating rugs for a silent auction. The successful raffle was also supported by members who donated gourmet food prizes. Thank you to the committee of Zontians who organized the afternoon’s activities.
