2022 – It’s a Wrap – Happy New Year

Our 2022 is over and we look forward to again “”Building a Better World for Women and Girls” in 2023.

We ended the year as we have done for many years by preparing and delivering food Christmas food hampers and gifts to the women staying at Madonna House. Many thanks Jacinta, Divya and Alex for assembling and delivering the hampers and gifts and to Rachel’s family for the donation of the fruit and vegetables, Bunnings Rocklea for the washing baskets for the hampers and HonZon Michele for her lovely Christmas gifts for the women.

We then finished the year with a festive dinner at The Colmslie Morningside attended by members, families and HonZons. Thank you Jacinta for arranging this.

We now look forward to working together in 2023.

District 22 CONFERENCE 2023 -Update

The District 22 Conference 2023 is successfully concluded. From the warm welcome to Mackay by Mayor Williamson and Aunty Pat Corrie to the final business closure on Sunday 10 September, delegates and guests enjoyed the guest speakers, the several presentations by our education award winners, our Zonta International Representative Annika from Sweden and the Zonta spirit generated by many Zontians being and working together for the future of District 22. Congratulations to the newly elected Board Members and Nominating Committee, as well as to the many first-time Conference delegates who participated in the business sessions. Thanks also to the Zontians of Mackay who hosted the event and to the Organising Committee for their months of planning to deliver a happy and productive District Conference. The District Conference 2025 will be held in Mount Isa. In the meantime the 2024 Zonta International Convention in Brisbane will be the next major event to which we look forward.
