ZOOM keeps us connected

In these times of isolation, members of Zonta Clubs have been connected by teleconferencing and it has been a wonderful platform, not only for club and committee meetings, but also for virtual coffee and chat gatherings with Zontians across District 22. Rockhampton club members have taken part in all three types of meetings and particularly enjoyed the coffee and chat meets. So much so, that it is possible that Zontians will continue to meet in this way for some of the meetings in the future. However, we know that it is necessary that we meet face to face as well.

District 22 CONFERENCE 2023 -Update

The District 22 Conference 2023 is successfully concluded. From the warm welcome to Mackay by Mayor Williamson and Aunty Pat Corrie to the final business closure on Sunday 10 September, delegates and guests enjoyed the guest speakers, the several presentations by our education award winners, our Zonta International Representative Annika from Sweden and the Zonta spirit generated by many Zontians being and working together for the future of District 22. Congratulations to the newly elected Board Members and Nominating Committee, as well as to the many first-time Conference delegates who participated in the business sessions. Thanks also to the Zontians of Mackay who hosted the event and to the Organising Committee for their months of planning to deliver a happy and productive District Conference. The District Conference 2025 will be held in Mount Isa. In the meantime the 2024 Zonta International Convention in Brisbane will be the next major event to which we look forward.
