Zonta Rockhampton offers YWPA Award for 2020

Applications for the 2020 Young Women in Public Affairs (YWPA) Award are now being called for by the Zonta Club of Rockhampton.
This Award is open to young women who are aged 16 to 19 years on 01 April 2020 and live, study or work in the Central Region. Applications are to be received by the Zonta Club of Rockhampton by Monday 24th February 2020. At club level, all applicants will receive a Certificate of Participation and the winner will receive a Certificate and a $500 cheque.

The winner will be announced at the Zonta International Women’s Day Breakfast on 6th March 2020 and presented with the Certificate and Cheque. All applicants will be presented with a Certificate of Participation. Links to the Application Form and Poster can be found below. District 22 CONFERENCE 2023 -Update

The District 22 Conference 2023 is successfully concluded. From the warm welcome to Mackay by Mayor Williamson and Aunty Pat Corrie to the final business closure on Sunday 10 September, delegates and guests enjoyed the guest speakers, the several presentations by our education award winners, our Zonta International Representative Annika from Sweden and the Zonta spirit generated by many Zontians being and working together for the future of District 22. Congratulations to the newly elected Board Members and Nominating Committee, as well as to the many first-time Conference delegates who participated in the business sessions. Thanks also to the Zontians of Mackay who hosted the event and to the Organising Committee for their months of planning to deliver a happy and productive District Conference. The District Conference 2025 will be held in Mount Isa. In the meantime the 2024 Zonta International Convention in Brisbane will be the next major event to which we look forward.
