Zonta Centennial Conference—Brisbane Convention Centre 2019:

What a wonderful experience it was for Trish, Berenice, Valda, Elizabeth and Jan to attend the Centennial Conference in Brisbane recently. Over 750 Zontians from all parts of Australia and New Zealand gathered to enjoy fellowship and friendship, while attending District Meetings for Districts 16, 22, 23 and 24. They were also privileged to hear some amazing young women give excellent presentations during the weekend. Berenice represented our club as Delegate.

Zontians were honoured to welcome the Zonta International President Suzanne Von Bassewitz to the Conference. Past International Presidents were acknowledged for their contribution and commitment to the organization. Gala evening activities, a Cocktail Party and a formal Conference Dinner, were also highlights of the weekend.
For all of us, it was a time to meet up again with Zontian friends, whom we have met over time at other Area Meetings, Conferences and Conventions, and for Valda, from the Convention in Sydney in 1984.

We were thrilled that our Zontian friend of many years, Gail Sellars of the Gladstone Club, was named as a Dianne Leggo Award Winner. Congratulations Gail.
Once again, some great memories were made.
