Warwick Book Fest 2014

On Saturday 5 April the Zonta Club of Warwick Inc held its first ever Book Fest. The event was a terrific success! We had thousands of books delivered across a range of genres: fiction, non-fiction, kids books, home and garden books, magazines, biographies! The event was very well attended with hundreds of Southern Downs residents browsing the books throughout the morning.

We raised over $800 from the Book Fest. This money is being donated to Warwick State High School for purchase of formal uniforms for female students who could not otherwise afford to purchase them.

Our thanks to all the residents who donated books and who attended the event making it such a huge success!

District 22 CONFERENCE 2023 -Update

The District 22 Conference 2023 is successfully concluded. From the warm welcome to Mackay by Mayor Williamson and Aunty Pat Corrie to the final business closure on Sunday 10 September, delegates and guests enjoyed the guest speakers, the several presentations by our education award winners, our Zonta International Representative Annika from Sweden and the Zonta spirit generated by many Zontians being and working together for the future of District 22. Congratulations to the newly elected Board Members and Nominating Committee, as well as to the many first-time Conference delegates who participated in the business sessions. Thanks also to the Zontians of Mackay who hosted the event and to the Organising Committee for their months of planning to deliver a happy and productive District Conference. The District Conference 2025 will be held in Mount Isa. In the meantime the 2024 Zonta International Convention in Brisbane will be the next major event to which we look forward.
