“Top to Toe” Afternoon Tea

A very successful afternoon tea function “Top to Toe” was held at the Frenchville Sports Club on Sunday 17^th August.

The very entertaining afternoon included a Lucky Door Prize, a Multi Drawer Raffle, a Quiz or two and a wonderful parade of hats and shoes. The hats on parade were made by Helen Dundas-Taylor and the shoes were from the very popular Suna Shoe Shop. Upon arrival guests were served with a glass of champagne or punch. Guests enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea of assorted party food accompanied by tea and coffee.

Thanks to all Zontians who worked so hard to make the day a wonderful success. Funds raised will support local and international projects.

District 22 CONFERENCE 2023 -Update

The District 22 Conference 2023 is successfully concluded. From the warm welcome to Mackay by Mayor Williamson and Aunty Pat Corrie to the final business closure on Sunday 10 September, delegates and guests enjoyed the guest speakers, the several presentations by our education award winners, our Zonta International Representative Annika from Sweden and the Zonta spirit generated by many Zontians being and working together for the future of District 22. Congratulations to the newly elected Board Members and Nominating Committee, as well as to the many first-time Conference delegates who participated in the business sessions. Thanks also to the Zontians of Mackay who hosted the event and to the Organising Committee for their months of planning to deliver a happy and productive District Conference. The District Conference 2025 will be held in Mount Isa. In the meantime the 2024 Zonta International Convention in Brisbane will be the next major event to which we look forward.
