Thank you for supporting our Campaign Against Domestic Violence 2016
Thank you to the many organisations and businesses who supported us by hosting an “orange” lady during the 16 Days of Activism and supporting our Campaign.
Our thanks go to the Queensland Parliament (lady, children and cat in the foyer of the Parliamentary Annex), Teri Butler MP, Di Farmer MLA, Joan Pease MLA, BCC Councillors Shayne Sutton, Ryan Murphy, Nicole Johnston, the BCC Transport ( lady at Bulimba Ferry Terminal and slide on the River Cat and Ferry system), Lourdes Hill College, Cannon Hill Anglican College, C2C Department of Education and Training, Micah Projects, the Riparian Plaza, in Oxford Street, Bulimba – Anne’s Second Hand Shop, Woolworths and Riverbend Books, Scissor Chix at Cannon Hill, Carindale PCYC, Yeronga Pool, Bunnings at Rocklea and Cannon Hill, Miegunyah House, Princess Alexandra Hospital (4 sites) and Wynnum Manly Leagues Club. It was also great to see the Kurilpa Bridge and the Sir Leo Heilscher (Gateway) Bridges lit in orange.
Whilst the 16 Days of Activism is completed for 2016 Club members will continue to promote this issue and work towards the Sustainability Development Goal No 5 – to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls which aligns with Zonta’s mission, vision and theme.
