November Library Display

Each November the Zonta Club of Brisbane East display information about the Club at the Bulimba Library. Our focus this year was Zonta Says NO to Domestic Violence Against Women and our Zonta Breast Care Cushion project. We also highlighted our other service projects and our scholarship program for Grade 12 girls from Yeronga and Balmoral State High Schools.

Club brochures along with our Safety Cards which are distributed through the Brisbane Domestic Violence Service and sponsored by the Club were left on the display cabinet and accessible to members of the public.

District 22 CONFERENCE 2023 -Update

The District 22 Conference 2023 is successfully concluded. From the warm welcome to Mackay by Mayor Williamson and Aunty Pat Corrie to the final business closure on Sunday 10 September, delegates and guests enjoyed the guest speakers, the several presentations by our education award winners, our Zonta International Representative Annika from Sweden and the Zonta spirit generated by many Zontians being and working together for the future of District 22. Congratulations to the newly elected Board Members and Nominating Committee, as well as to the many first-time Conference delegates who participated in the business sessions. Thanks also to the Zontians of Mackay who hosted the event and to the Organising Committee for their months of planning to deliver a happy and productive District Conference. The District Conference 2025 will be held in Mount Isa. In the meantime the 2024 Zonta International Convention in Brisbane will be the next major event to which we look forward.
