Maroochy Zonta club hosted a breakfast for 98 guests to celebrate International Womens Day.

Guest speaker Tigi Johnson was a baby when adopted from Ethiopia. She spoke about reconnecting with her family there providing a fascinating insight into life there.

Guests enjoyed the fellowship of the morning while learning more about Zonta and some of its programs including Birthing kits and YWPA.

District 22 CONFERENCE 2025

Mt Isa club are delighted to be the hosts of District 22 conference 12-14 September 2025. They are already well advanced in planning and the venue will be confirmed soon. There will be an amazing social program incorporating the best of Mt Isa attractions – the Isa Amphitheatre with mine tours, the historic Underground hospital and Tent House and a visit to the Uranium mine are all on the program. We hope the memorial service will be especially poignant at the Miner’s church which commemorates the towns history.

A range of accommodation options are available with special rates being negotiated including caravan parks and cabins and hotels. Local members will be offering billets for those interested in a home away from home.
