Linking with the Zonta Club of Nassau

For many years the Zonta Club of Caboolture Inc has support Dragons Abreast by assisting them with purchasing their boat etc. The women are currently in the Caribbean and for an international dragon boat racing carnival and were delighted to meet up with Zontians from the Zonta Club of Nassau. These Zontians had attended the 2006 ZI Convention in Melbourne and knew about the Zonta Breast Care Cushions and asked for a pattern so that they could start making and distributing them.

Immediate contact with Zontians from the Caboolture Club ensured a pattern and a sample were sent with the result that cushions will now be suplied to women having breast surgery in the Caribbean.

Another example of just how truly international ZI is.

District 22 CONFERENCE 2023 -Update

The District 22 Conference 2023 is successfully concluded. From the warm welcome to Mackay by Mayor Williamson and Aunty Pat Corrie to the final business closure on Sunday 10 September, delegates and guests enjoyed the guest speakers, the several presentations by our education award winners, our Zonta International Representative Annika from Sweden and the Zonta spirit generated by many Zontians being and working together for the future of District 22. Congratulations to the newly elected Board Members and Nominating Committee, as well as to the many first-time Conference delegates who participated in the business sessions. Thanks also to the Zontians of Mackay who hosted the event and to the Organising Committee for their months of planning to deliver a happy and productive District Conference. The District Conference 2025 will be held in Mount Isa. In the meantime the 2024 Zonta International Convention in Brisbane will be the next major event to which we look forward.
