Guest speaker: Manuela Darling

At the April dinner meeting, Maroochy Zonta welcomed guest speaker, Manuela Darling – director of Silver Linings Project.

Manuela outlined the project, which is aimed at uplifting women who have suffered injury in some way, often in extreme circumstances.

The project is currently working on a book of photographs and inspirational stories from women who were asked – “What bird represents you?” A team of hairdressers, beauticians, and body artists transforms the women into “their bird” and then a photo  shoot captures their beauty. The first book will be launched in November.

Eighty-six businesses are currently supporting the project.

Manuela’s message was one of giving hope to those around you.
