Dinner with the Liz Davenport Travelling Boutique

A very successful dinner function was held recently featuring the Liz Davenport Travelling Boutique. A delicious menu and fabulous fashions were on show for the 125 guests at the dinner. Our own Zontians modelled the fashions in great style, after the guests were treated to a suitcase demonstration of how to pack a suitcase with the right items for the maximum number of outfits for a holiday. A very successful raffle, lucky place settings and give away vouchers and books added excitement to the evening. What a very colourful and entertaining evening it turned out to be. Funds raised will go towards our local service projects.

District 22 CONFERENCE 2023 -Update

The District 22 Conference 2023 is successfully concluded. From the warm welcome to Mackay by Mayor Williamson and Aunty Pat Corrie to the final business closure on Sunday 10 September, delegates and guests enjoyed the guest speakers, the several presentations by our education award winners, our Zonta International Representative Annika from Sweden and the Zonta spirit generated by many Zontians being and working together for the future of District 22. Congratulations to the newly elected Board Members and Nominating Committee, as well as to the many first-time Conference delegates who participated in the business sessions. Thanks also to the Zontians of Mackay who hosted the event and to the Organising Committee for their months of planning to deliver a happy and productive District Conference. The District Conference 2025 will be held in Mount Isa. In the meantime the 2024 Zonta International Convention in Brisbane will be the next major event to which we look forward.
