Club JMK Scholarship Winner 2016
The Club welcomed our Jane M Klausman 2016 Scholarship Winner, Tia Kitchener, to our July meeting and presented her with her Certificate and cheque. Tia is a very impressive young woman studying International Business and Accounting at QUT. She has been on the Deans List for academic excellence for each semester of her studies and was admitted to the Golden Key International Honour Society this year. She is planning on studying in first Semester 2017 in Copenhagen, Denmark. She is keen to make a valuable difference not only in her life but in the lives of others. Currently she volunteers as a Camp Leader at Edmund Rice Camps Australia which is a charitable volunteer association providing recreational activity for children via the camps, volunteers with the UN Youth Association and with the Oaktree Live Below the Line Campaign which is a fundraising campaign that helps Australians take action on poverty. She is also an Ambassador and Board Member for the QUT Learning Potential Fund Alumni and Friends Chapter. A very impressive and active young woman.
