Club Gains Grant Money to Extend LoveBites Program

Our Club has just received advice from EPIC Assist that it has won a $10000 Community Grant to train additional facilitators in the LoveBites Program this year.  Last year we sponsored the training of 15 facilitators who will introduce the program this year into seven High Schools.

We have been working cooperatively with a number of Clubs in Areas 1 and 3 and with the support of these Clubs and the $10000 grant money the program will be widely available in 2017 in schools.  We have ensured that the Department of Education is supportive of our actions and have been advised by Senior Officers in the Department that the program complements fully the working units they have developed for schools and that have been announced recently in the media.

The program includes a creativity activity at its conclusion with the students encouraged to present their learnings in some form eg art, video, song etc.  The attachment below is an example of posters produced by students from previous years programs.
