Call for 2021 YWPA Applications

Are you or do you know of a young woman aged 16-19 on 1st April this year who can demonstrate the following:

• Active commitment to volunteerism;

• Experience in local government, student government, or workplace leadership (paid or unpaid);.

• Volunteer leadership achievements;.

• Knowledge of Zonta International and its programs; and

• Support for Zonta International’s mission of empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy.

If so consider an application for the Zonta International Young Women in Public Affairs Award. Completed Applications MUST be sent to the to the Club by 28 February 2021. The application form can be downloaded from the ZI website or send an email to the Club requesting one.

District 22 CONFERENCE 2023 -Update

The District 22 Conference 2023 is successfully concluded. From the warm welcome to Mackay by Mayor Williamson and Aunty Pat Corrie to the final business closure on Sunday 10 September, delegates and guests enjoyed the guest speakers, the several presentations by our education award winners, our Zonta International Representative Annika from Sweden and the Zonta spirit generated by many Zontians being and working together for the future of District 22. Congratulations to the newly elected Board Members and Nominating Committee, as well as to the many first-time Conference delegates who participated in the business sessions. Thanks also to the Zontians of Mackay who hosted the event and to the Organising Committee for their months of planning to deliver a happy and productive District Conference. The District Conference 2025 will be held in Mount Isa. In the meantime the 2024 Zonta International Convention in Brisbane will be the next major event to which we look forward.
