Busy August Meeting

Maroochy Zonta’s August meeting welcomed Barb and Ros, from Coolum Hearts; which is a not-for-profit organization that offers access to the arts by people living with physical and intellectual disability, mental health issues, domestic violence, depression, effects of drug and alcohol abuse, social isolation because of discrimination. Anecdotes relating to their personal experiences were both heart-warming and inspiring.

This year, 3 Mature Age bursaries were awarded to worthy women who have returned to study. One recipient, Jane, was unable to attend our Changeover Dinner to receive her prize and certificate ……. Maroochy Zontian, Marion Frederick, presented Jane with her certificate at the recent August meeting.

A new member of our HonZon family was presented with her pin and rose. Gaye has been a loyal and generous supporter of the club for many years. “Thank you”, from Maroochy Zonta.
