Busy April meeting

The Zonta Club of Toowoomba had a busy april meeting at Angelos House.  As well as being our AGM a cheque for $1100 was presented to Mary Jibson who was representing “Fresh Hope” .  Fresh Hope is a theurapeutic home with an eighteen month residential program, specifically designed for mothers (suffering substance abuse) and their children; assisting both to recover while building self esteem, parenting, and practical life skills in a safe, family enviroment.  Fresh Hope is a non-profit community based organization.

“Fresh Hope” was one of the three charities who received the proceeds of our very successful International Womens Day luncheon.  Other charities were “Yalari”  an organization which funds and coordinates educational scholarships for indiginous student; and the remaining third of the proceeds was donated to ZI charities.

       Another new member Yvonne Coulton was also inducted by President Rhondda Bridle making for a busy night.
