Birthing Kit Assembly Day

On Friday afternoon Club members organised our first Birthing Kit Assembly Day as one of our endorsed 2019-2020 Zonta year service projects. Our thanks go to the staff, students and volunteers from the Cannon Hill Anglican College who enthusiastically participated in this project to provide a clean and safe birthing place for women in developing countries. Many thanks also to our own Club members who came along to help.

District 22 CONFERENCE 2023 -Update

The District 22 Conference 2023 is successfully concluded. From the warm welcome to Mackay by Mayor Williamson and Aunty Pat Corrie to the final business closure on Sunday 10 September, delegates and guests enjoyed the guest speakers, the several presentations by our education award winners, our Zonta International Representative Annika from Sweden and the Zonta spirit generated by many Zontians being and working together for the future of District 22. Congratulations to the newly elected Board Members and Nominating Committee, as well as to the many first-time Conference delegates who participated in the business sessions. Thanks also to the Zontians of Mackay who hosted the event and to the Organising Committee for their months of planning to deliver a happy and productive District Conference. The District Conference 2025 will be held in Mount Isa. In the meantime the 2024 Zonta International Convention in Brisbane will be the next major event to which we look forward.
