Birthing Kit Assembly Day

With the assistance of students from the Cannon Hill Anglican College (CHAC) and support of staff the Club held a very successful Birthing Kit Assembly Day whilst adhering to COVID-19 restrictions.  We were limited in the number of members able to attend and the number of students participating but nevertheless assembled 400 kits in just over an hour.  The students asked many questions and showed great intgerest in the project with a number having attended our last event at the school in 2019.

The event was followed up two days later by a Breakfast with the Social Justice group at the school.  Club member Sarah spoke about the projects and showed a PowerPoint presentation comparing the conditions women face giving birth in Tanzania to the Birthing suite at the Mater Hospital.  This also generated much interest and questions from the students.

Many thanks CHAC for your support of this project.
